'Tis the season to be green! Our Santa Arrival event on 11/28 has had a Southern Cali feel for a few years now. And we are really liking it. So, what is more Southern Cal than the effort to be green?! Hence, (did I use that correctly?) we have added a green element to the event this year. Our holiday tree will be green- decorated with LED holiday lights donated by SDG&E® and recycled ornaments made by local San Diegans. AND SDG&E is sponsoring an LED holiday light exchange. This is big! Here is how the exchange will work...
Bring up to three old strands of holiday lights, along with a current SDG&E bill or California identification, to the East Plaza Gazebo area from 1-5 p.m. on 11/28 and exchange them for an equal number of LED strands. BONUS! Also receive a complimentary reusable shopping bag and one Home Energy & Water Savings Kit, which includes a low flow showerhead. LED lights can save up to 90 percent in energy costs and last longer than conventional holiday lights. LEDs are also cool to the touch, making them safer for your family. The old strands that are turned in will be recycled.
LEDs are expensive people. This is such a great deal! Rumor has it this is very popular so I would make sure to show up early to get yours before they run out!
Helping ya be green, Boardwalk Betty
